That Was Yesterday, This Is Today

That was Yesterday:
  • I bought the perfect new notebook and started setting it up to use as my new prayer journal.
  • I found a porch umbrella - originally cost $399.  Got it on sale for $114.
  • I laughed at the offspring as they tried to create a homemade redneck slip and slide in the backyard.
  • I had plenty of energy for getting things marked off the to-do list

This is Today:
  • I woke up with a vicious sinus headache and I can't stop sneezing
  • The grand baby spilled my cup of coffee all over my yarn bags and prayer basket (completely soaking and staining my new notebook)
  • The dog will not stop barking.
  • I am super tired and cranky.

Life is like that.  You have some good days.  You have some not so good days.

You can focus on the not so good day.  Which will make them feel as if they are taking over your life and most all the days are bad days.

Or you can choose to focus on the good days.  Look hard to find what good there is hiding in the not so good days and give thanks for it.  (and there is always something!)

Some Days I'm Not

Some days I wake up feeling rested and cheerful.

Some days I am in a good mood.

Some days I have plenty of energy to attack my To-Do list.

Some days I feel creative.

Some days I get a lot accomplished.

Some days I make myself laugh.

Some days everything falls into place.

Some days I am friendly and loving.

Some days I am at my best.

Some days I'm not.

One of "Those Days"

Some days just take more effort than others.

Days when the coffee pot just isn't big enough.
Days when your hormone meter is either raging on high or running almost on "E".
Days when the energy just isn't there.
Days when you can't seem to find the motivation to do just the most basic things that need to be done.
Days when every single tiny thing frustrates you.
Days when you can't seem to cut through the fog in your brain.
Days when even the most simple things seem to take soooo much effort.
Days when Murphy's Law is playing out to it's fullest extent.
Days when you feel like saying "Just forget it" and declaring it Nap Day all day long

Those days.  You know what I'm talking about, don't pretend like you don't.
