Welcome to December

It's December y'all!!

The holidays are upon us and this year of 2013 will soon be ending. In the blink of an eye if this last month goes by like all of the rest!

I've got lots and lots in store for all of you this month.  Some new stuff, some old stuff, some crafty stuff, some faith stuff, and some crazy stuff. 

If you were around this time last year, you may remember that I was being a real Mrs Grinch.  (More about that HERE) We were trying to wrap up a major living room remodel, and I was having a hard time getting into the spirit of the season. 

This year is different. 

This year, I am excited about decorating the house.  Celebrating with my family.  Observing the birth of our Savior.  I've been spending a lot of time on Pinterest (maybe more than is healthy)  All that's going to show in my blog posts.

So... fix yourself a cup of cocoa.  Snuggle up under your favorite soft throw.  And lets do this Christmas season right this year!! 

Can't Keep Me Quiet!!

Oh HECK NO!!  That did not just happen!

My blog post did not just get eaten by the cyber monsters!  One of my favorites?  The one which was recognized in the BlogHer NaBloPoMo email?  One minute I was reading it, preparing to reply to a comment and the next ...

POOF!!

It was gone. Vanished.  Disappeared from the face of all things bloggy.

But I refuse to let the great internet vacuum win.  I will not be kept silent.  Nope, not this gal!

Fortunately I had a copy of said post tucked away somewhere.  So, what do I do, but just post it again!

Oh sure... the link to the original post takes you to a broken link.  But it is atleast my blog, so hopefully anyone interested enough will poke around a little and find the repost.

And let this be a lesson to whatever force of technology ate my post.  You can't keep a good blogger down.  Or in my case, you can't keep me quiet!

Off The Posting Track

Maybe one of these months I'll finally get this NaBloPoMo thing right...

I will finally find the time and creativity to post every single day of the month.  I will be clever.  I will be humorous and insightful depending on the day.  I will post to my blog and completely dominate the NaBloPoMo challenge.  I will rock the prompts like no one has ever rocked them before.  All others posting to the monthly soup will stand in awe of how I took the challenge and owned it. 

Or maybe not...

Probably not...

I tried.  I truly had every great intention when I signed myself up and started the month.  THIS was going to be the month I finally signed up for this puppy and completed it!  It was my month to post!  Alas, life got in the way.  It threw me off the posting track into a ditch and laughed at me as it flew past. 

Maybe next month.  Hope always springs eternal.  Right?

Beginning to Wonder

This month I am participating in the January NaBloPoMo daily blogging challenge.  Seems easy enough.  Just commit to posting every day for a full month.  Simple, right?  Not so much. Today is the second day in a row I have realized in the evening that I still have a blog post to complete.  Which sends me rushing to the computer, frantically searching my brain for something to write about.

I always feel like I have a lot to say.  But now that I have made the choice to post daily for the month of January - I find myself at a loss for words.  And wondering if I will be able to manage a post every day of the month.  Suddenly January seems like a very long month.  Even looking at the daily writing prompt provided by NaBloPoMo doesn't seem to get the thought process flowing along.

As a result, I apologize for much of the seemingly pointless, endless rambling you may find yourself reading over the coming days and weeks.  Hopefully there will be at least a few gems in there somewhere.
