They are all around us. We can see them if we simply slow down. Breathe it in. SEEK the small joys.
The miracle in a child's laugh... a sunrise... a bird song... the wind blowing... the smell of a cup of coffee... the touch of a loved one... the complexity of your own hands.
Look around you. Savor the moments. Be thankful.
What a wonderful reminder to slow down and be refreshed in God's blessings. I am so guilty of following my to do list and then feeling overwhelmed. My heart will focus on my do's rather than the wonders around me. Thank you for reminding me to be aware and SEEK Him in all things! :)

DeleteBeckey, I love this post because it is so true. We have to slow down, and sometimes stop to see the beauty in the day. I am doing a series on my blog on Mondays entitled 'everyday jesus: seeing him in the daily-ness of life'. Would love for you to check it out and offer an everyday jesus story of your own that I could feature. http://www.leahadams.org/everyday-jesus-seeing-him-in-children-of-the-day/
ReplyDeleteWe definitely need to slow down to enjoy life and not just live it!
