Because It's NOT

This might be the funniest name for a non-butter spread knock-off product I have ever come across!
No, that's not a joke product.  It actually sits on the shelves of a major retailer located not far from my home.

Who in the world come up with this?

The first thing that came to mind is that maybe they somehow traveled back to 1984 and got some 15 year old Valley Girl wanna-be to name the item.

The second was some Keanu Reeves type dude tasting it and stating these words of wisdom, leading some marketing fellow to think "that is the perfect name!"

Then I thought, it must have been submitted as a joke and somehow slipped through the cracks and actually made it to production.

I'll never know the story behind how this name came to be.  All I know for sure it that it made me laugh, and I still chuckle every time I think about it.

Cute - In that annoying kind of way

Ever have those times when you think you are being cute, playful, and teasing; but your significant other,  however, thinks you are being a smart aleck pain in the behind.

Happens to me all the time.

I’m pretty sure I’m right though. I’m a very funny girl.

Even if I’m the only one who thinks so sometimes.

Quote of the Week

This has to be the best line of the entire week for me....

In reference to his aunt mentioning that his younger cousin likes her oranges cut into sections, the Little Man said:

"Oh, we get oranges that are pre-cut.  Inside.  I don't know how they do it!!"

My Eyes Are Right Here

The Grand baby's new favorite game seems to be trying to pretend the person holding him just doesn't exist.

The rules of this game seem simple.  He is completely intent on looking at absolutely anything else in the room, except you - the person holding him.  And he's very good at it.  Especially when the person holding him (that would be me) has her own face about 6 inches from his and is saying "Hey.. I'm right here.  Helloooo... right here pal.  Right.  Here."

Oh sure. Every so often, his eyes will finally stray over and meet yours. He'll give you that huge melt-my-heart grin, laugh, and immediately look away to something - anything - else.

Now.. I will admit there is a very slim chance that the combination tuna sandwich and cheesecake breath he may have been experiencing thanks to my lunch could have caused him to keep looking away in an attempt to keep his eyes from watering.  But maybe not.

When he finally grew tired of the game and was making eye contact with me, and talking to me; I told him that I didn't find that game very funny.  In fact, it's a little rude.

His response?  He grinned and actually chuckled... and then looked away from me to check out the ceiling fan.
