Some time ago I wrote a post called "Ain't Nobody Got Time for That" about how we view some things as "big" problems, and some things as "small" problems, but God doesn't prioritize. He always cares about what is going on with us.
Apparently, I didn't get it. There was still more for me to learn.
I know this, because I still find myself doing it. Thinking of things as either big, significant, important - or - small, insignificant, unimportant, no big deal. I still constantly find myself having to remember that those labels are placed there by me - not God.
We all know God cares about the hurting, the sick, those with financial strains, broken families, the depressed, the desperate. But He cares just as much for the healed, the healthy, the financially sound, the happy families, the joyful, the fulfilled. He just cares. About all of us. All. Of. Us. No matter what our circumstances.
He cares if I am stressed out about my pile of dirty laundry, or the stack of dishes in the sink. Whether I am grocery shopping or finishing a project. Even these things I can bring to Him. He feels my stress and wants to replace it with his peace.
Whatever is on your heart or mind today. Whatever burden you're carrying - even the one that seems so small compared to the one someone else has on their shoulders. You can bring all of it to Jesus. He cares. He loves us. And He wants to take that burden from you.
Beckey,

DeleteAll of us. What an encouraging thought because, like you, I prioritize my needs. Some are just too unworthy to take to God. What a beautiful gift your words have given me today.
ReplyDeleteJoyfully,
