Plug It Up

Did you know that Starbucks will give you these little green stopper thingies for your cup? I didn't!  Until this past weekend.

Oh, happy day!!

I always have the problem of a little coffee sloshing out of the opening for drinking and getting all over my hand.

If only I had known sooner that these were available!

Now I won't have to walk around Target licking the back of my hand anymore.

Seven Days Without Coffee: Complete!!

Yah!!  I did it!  I went seven whole entire days without coffee!  (I know!!  I'm still amazed I didn't cave too!)  What better way to celebrate than....

with a hot steaming cup of coffee, of course!!

I invite you all to share a cup along with me.  I am having a nice dark roast with plenty of half & half, a little sweetener, and a dash of pumpkin syrup.

Oh, how I have missed you!!

Seven Days Without Coffee: Is Ironic

I had to chuckle at the irony.  Day Two of the "Seven Days Without Coffee" challenge began with me sipping tea out of a cup clearly labelled to be used for coffee.

It was my own way to trying to mentally trick myself.  I see the cup sitting there and think "Mmmm... coffee!" Pick up the cup, take a  big sip.  Not coffee.

The Perfect Cup for Coffee

I think I need a bigger coffee cup.  Can you still hear me over the sound of my family laughing?  Yes?  Ok, good.

Here's the thing...

I'm willing to admit that the coffee cups I use on a regular basis are of decent size.  Some might even consider them more as small soup tureens rather than coffee cups.  I like a little weight to my mug.

And yet, the darn things still seem to get empty far too quickly.  And if they aren't drained at a rapid speed, then the coffee gets cold.

So what I really need is a nice large mug.  I'm thinking about the size of half the coffee pot.  I think that should do it.  That's about the amount I probably drink each morning anyway.

And I need one that keeps the coffee at a nice steady temperature - not hot enough to burn the mouth, but put sufficiently warm enough not to be well... bleh!

You coffee drinkers know what I'm talking about, right?
