Half - Baked

I have been in a baking sort of mood this week.  It started with the lemon pound cake I made last weekend for Easter. Which I didn't get a picture of - but it was yummy.

Then I made a pan of cornbread to go with a pot of Pioneer Woman's Black Bean soup.  (also yummy)



And the next night, since we were having breakfast for dinner it only seemed right to make a batch of fresh biscuits.





Is it odd that I suddenly want to do a bunch of baking just as the temperatures start warming up?  If this keeps up I'm going to have to pull out the bread machine to avoid heating up the kitchen too much!

  1. Great minds think alike! In the past few weeks, I've done lots of baking - from scratch! Loving it! Have 2 recipes for ya - sweet sourdough bread and sweet dinner rolls. Also baked refrigerator cake for Easter and making banana bread today. Found another bread starter/bread to try also. It's amish friendship bread - apparently a cinnamon bread. Yum!
