The Cross Is Personal

The cross is personal for me.

I realize that I am responsible for the death of Christ on that cross.

Just as much as anyone else at any time in history or the future.

It was me.

He took my punishment.  My beatings.  My cross.  He took my place.

I can not remove or distance myself from that.

Had He not taken that upon Himself for all of us me; it would be mine to bear.

The pain, the punishment, the scorn, the death.

Jesus in my place.

And that makes the cross personal.  It's mine. That cross was meant for me

  3. What wonderful thoughts that it was me that sent Him to the cross. It is amazing when we put me into His commands also. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and go forth and make disciples! Wow !
Thank you for sharing with us here at "Tell Me a True Story."

    1. True Hazel! I have been doing a practice of taking verses of Scripture and placing "me", "my", etc into them in appropriate places. It has made me feel much closer to God to personalize His Word in this way.

Thank you so much for visiting my little corner of the blogdom! I love hearing what you have to say; so please take a moment to share your thoughts. Have a blessed day!
